Have you ever wondered what the players get up to on their free time or when they are about to play? In this new weekly feature leading up to the finals a question is asked to all the players and you get their views on what the specific topic is.
Euro 2008
The Euro 2008 tournament is well under way and there has been some dominating performances from Spain and Holland. But also we have seen some surprising performances from the likes of Turkey but who is going to win?
Unfortunately Sarah Lou doesn't really know anything about football which is fair enough. So in this case we have substituted her for another respectable figure, General Manager ODEE!
This question to Birmingham Salvo this week is:
Who do you think will win Euro 2008 and why?
Bazza: I think that Spain will take Euro 2008, at least I hope they do anyway. They have so many exciting players to watch, and as I am an Arsenal fan, I am used to watching exciting football :D. Torres, Villa, Fabregas, as well as others can change a game in a second, and I think they definitely have what it takes to go all the way this time, it's just whether or not they will perform, as they have had great teams in the past and have failed big time early on. Portugal & Germany, as well as even Holland can't be counted out though, they have had a good tournament so far, and will be very tough to beat.
DaveySkills: Well to be perfectly honest I don't care about football anymore, but I guess I'd have to say Spain, because everyone seems to think that Torres guy is something special.
Mangiacapra: I'm supporting Spain for Euro 2008 and the reason they will win is simply Fernando Torres. He is a nightmare for any team to try and stop him, he will either score himself or setup his team mates.
MESSY: I think Germany will win the tournament. Their squad from two years ago is still very much together and Michael Ballack is their king. I'd like to see Croatia win it, they did for England but I like the way they play football.
ODEE: I think Holland or Spain will win it :) I just think especially the dutch have the team play and the mind set to go and win the tournament, plus both have Arsenal players.
Picaso: Holland, my original favourite was Portugal, but they are out. Holland seem to be dominating big teams so far. I think they will go on to win.
pt: I Think Germany/Spain have a good chance they have some great players. I thought France might do well, but after their performance vs Romania i'm not so sure, its going to be super tough for them to get out of their group.
RattlesnK: I would have to go with Spain because of their teams overall strength in all areas of their squad, they have a great strikeforce in Villa and Torres and handfuls of top class midfielders at their disposal. I just think it's there for the taking, considering how unlucky Spain have been during the past few European Championships and World Cups its got to be their year.
wez: Holland, they looked absolutely awesome vs Italy and I can honestly see them winning!
wilzOOO: I've watched every single game of the Euro's, its surprising how much attention you pay to the other teams when England arn't in it. I think it will be Spain or the Netherlands that win it. They are both coming into the competition with form, and unlike Germany and Portugal they don't have any real weaknesses.
